The DXATC contracts with four private cosmetology schools to provide an opportunity for high school students to enroll in cosmetology training while they are still in high school. Qualified instructors from the schools provide training designed to prepare a student for the state licensing exam.

Evans Hairstyling College, Hairitage Hair Academy, Paul Mitchell The School, St. George and Taylor Andrews Academy of Hair Design provide modern facilities and equipment for training. Most high school students will complete about 1000 hours of required training while in high school. Students who enroll in the program must coordinate registration with the local high school counselor.
