Information Technology


Students in the Information Technology program will obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to gain employment in the rapidly growing IT field. Students will begin by learning basics of computer repair, networking, security, and Linux operating system. 

Students will gain the knowledge of the following:

  • IT Support - Build, troubleshoot, repair PC computers, mobile devices and small networks.
  • Advanced Networking - Install, configure and troubleshoot small office networks.
  • Linux Client - Install, configure, maintain and secure Linux operating system.
  • Microsoft Client - Install, configure, maintain and secure Microsoft operating system.

The Information Technology certificate is comprised of the following modules. Completion of the full Capstone Certificate is recommended for meaningful employment.

  • A+

  • MCSA Client
  • 1200 hr - IT Capstone Certificate

Lee Devine

Lee Devine is an instructor in the Information Technology program. Prior to becoming an instructor at the Dixie Applied Technology College, Lee worked as an IT Technician and an Administrator at the Dixie Applied Technology College. He received his A.A.S. in Operations Management from Dixie State University in 2012.
