Manufacturing Operations

Objective:

Employers are all facing this challenge of grooming their next generation of managers & supervisors. Students in our manufacturing operations program will gain a working demand of key & critical management disciplines that will validate them as a documented candidate for advancement or additional responsibilities within their current organization. Many students have found themselves qualified for better paying positions, even while they are still attending classes. 

Manufacturing Operations students will be able to:

  • Develop enhanced skill sets with immediate application in the workplace
  • Gain a working management perspective of: Manufacturing Processes and Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance, Quality Systems/Processes and Lean Six Sigma Methodologies, Safety, OSHA Compliance and Safety Culture Development, Leadership and Supervisory Skills
  • Earn a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Earn a CPR/First Aid and AED certification
  • 30 Hour Hazwoper and JSA training
The Manufacturing Operations certificate is comprised of the following modules. Each module may be an exit point. Completion of the full Capstone Certificate is recommended for meaningful employment.

  • Safety & OSHA Compliance
  • Leadership, Supervision Resource & Ops Management

Steve Carwell


Steve Carwell, (BSEE), has spent several decades in various executive positions in the aerospace, medical devices, industrial products and sporting goods industries. His management experience includes serving as CEO of a publicly traded medical device manufacturer as well as working for 3 Fortune 500 companies. He eventually founded Jadestone Consulting where he worked with client companies throughout the U.S. and abroad. He has a proven track record as CFO, International Business Manager, Director of Sales & Market Development, and Director of Operations with experience in Quality Control, Process Engineering, Project Management, ISO Regulatory Compliance, OSHA & FDA Compliance, Domestic and International Sales, Organizational Development, Technical Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma Implementation.
