Culinary Arts - Basics

In this series of 3 classes, Chef Jessi will share with you vital basics of culinary arts. She will share with you over 15 years of professional kitchen experience. This class is for the novice and gourmand alike. You will learn about the most relied on kitchen tools, how they are used in preparing ingredients, important safety and sanitation practices, how to compose a recipe and valuable time and temperature standards. Each class will include hands on instruction where you will learn to make three complete meals in three easy lessons with lots of essential cooking techniques. We will work on knife skills, vegetable chopping, salad preparations, vinaigrettes, how to roast vegetables, butcher a chicken, sauté and roast meats, pate a choux, pastry cream and much more! 3 separate 3 hour classes

Mondays  5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
9-hour class (Class dates: 5/8, 5/15, 5/22) 
Location:  DXATC Tonaquint Campus (Back of Building 1)
